Reading the Scriptures

I'm really excited to discover what God is doing, and will do, in 2010 (pronounced "Twenty Ten"). 2009 had its ups and downs (I was laid-off from my job in June) but I press on hoping that the gospel will saturate me and my family like never before.

One thing I'm really excited about is reading the bible in a year. I've never followed a "plan" per se, but have just started from the beginning and worked my way through. This year I'm going to try something different and thanks to ESV for making it easy.

To the left is a screen shot from my iPhone. I have an app called "Mobile RSS" that I use to send the blogs I read straight to my phone so that I can read them with ease. What is pictured is readings from the Book of Common Prayer. Here is the feed.

This is just one way of making sure you are grounded in Scripture. I am becoming increasingly aware that liturgy is important for not only me, but my family as well. Hopefully this is one small step in the right direction for us.
