Philippians!

Posted in , , , ,

I'm really excited to be teaching through Philippians with our youth group (starting this week!). I've always liked Philippians because it isn't a book that Paul had to write to straighten people out (like 1&2 Corinthians). It was a book of encouragement and love and passion for the Gospel and Jesus. Paul is in prison (probably Rome), yet he's rejoicing! (Philippians 1:18; 4:10). Amidst the troubles and persecution, Paul's love for Jesus shattered all elements of frustration and selfishness. I love it. Be encouraged friends.

Philippians is a great book. I hope that you continue to enjoy your study with your youth group. Out my fascination with Paul's "secret of being content" and study of this letter, I wrote Journey to Joy. You might find it useful personally and in your teaching.
